Awful. Poorly written. Gives either no directions or limited/incorrect directions to the trail heads. For one "hike" the author wrote about and recommended it was actually a paved walking path through a suburban park and was in no way an actual hike. She does either limited or no research regarding times the trails may or may not be accessible. In one situation we drove 2.5 hours round trip only to find a park in suburban Cincinnati and trails closed.I will give the author credit for finding interesting places, however the writing is horrible and any direction given is inaccurate. You would be better off doing free research online than spending money on this book. If I could give negative 5 stars I would.

An easy to read and easy to use book. We have done two of the sixty hikes and it is just as described in the book. I highly recommend for anyone who likes to hike.

I got this to give as a Christmas gift for my brother and nephew who live near Cincinnati. They tell me it has been a great book, and their first hike was to a place less than 20 minutes from their house. They had no idea it was there until seeing it in the book.

I love this book! My dad hunts mushrooms and ginseng so we like to hike a lot. This book has shown us some spots we never knew about! We also like to make notes in it about what trees, plants and wild life we see in the area. We plan on hiking all 60 places.

Love everything abiut then except I don’t know how they measure sizes. I went two sides up as people said or was to snug. I would feel better with something 3x my size

Yes, paper is thin, by the photos and reviews I mentally prepared. I have several Bibles, all the papers are thin anyway. I believe use colored pencils or frixion erasible pens won't tear the paper. If something unfortune, I will update this review. Next time I will try the purple one, the praise version, it says it has thicker paper. I just like to have a coloring Bible, also need NLT English Bible, and like to have Catholic Bible, so buying this one fits my 3 needs at the same time. Lol.Update: I use colored pencil, and so far everything looks fine. I even tried erasable colored pencil (carefully), the paper survived. Not recommend to use frixion erasable pen for coloring, but it's good for taking notes. I also found there is something called "Bible safe" markers, may be a consideration.

This is my third Inspire NLT Bible purchase (4th if you count the gifted Bible).I am very disappointed that this is not any different than the other Inspire NLT. The exact same art is on the exact same pages. The only difference is that the Catholic version does include the additional chapters. But who wants to work on the exact same thing for 1,000 pages? Not me. This is the last time I will buy from the Inspire line as I feel a bit cheated. My second purchase was the purple Praise version and that bible has different art on the pages than what is on the previous Inspire NLT.If you are looking to buy your first journaling bible with line art mixed with pages that just have lined margins, this is fine. I love the pink floral edges. But if you don't require the Catholic books I would still recommend the purple Inspire Praise version instead. Thicker pages, additions like vellum etc. Adding also that you should be watching for the verified purchase on some of the reviews to help you aid your decision on whether to spend your money on anything.

I am afraid to write in it for fear of tearing the pages. Also, if I plan to use markers or any paint I think they most definitely will bleed through that thin tissue like paper. Fonts are still too small. I would like to see an even bigger font size around 14.

Beautiful book. The cover is like a metallic rose gold. And the edges are very pretty. The only downside is that the pages are very thin, so I would recommend coloring it in with colored pencils/ pens very lightly, but of course that’s your choice.

Was looking for a manageable size Roman Catholic Bible. This one is the perfect size. I love the rose gold color and the flowers and butterflies printed on the edge of the pages. the pages are thin but... every Bible I have ever read has really thin pages. there are over 1700 pages it has to be thin. The pages are beautiful. Love it

First with full disclosure: I hate whiney. I don't care if it's an Adele song, a Hallmark movie or a book. I hate whiney. While waiting for my routine authors to get another book out - we've all been there, right - I decided to try Kendra Elliot. Started with the Mercey Kilpatrick books - love those. Then when I read those, I moved to the Kendra Elliot Callahan & McLane. First book was good. Second book was good. But now I've finished - just barely - the 3rd book. Seriously, how many times is one FBI agent's life endangered with injury? Hey, Kendra! Not realistic and tiring to the reader. If this character is the great FBI agent everyone claims, why does she end up in so many female traps; next I suspect she will be tied to the train tracks.And then there is her twin sister who is as insane as Ava is supposedly sane. I say "supposedly" because I'd like to slap Ava and tell her she is just like her sister, just not so obvious. And no, Ava isn't the junkie Jayne is, but there are other types of addiction. Like being whiney. Oh woe is me. I found myself skipping the whiney parts of the book which included Jayne mostly. I don't care about Jayne as a character - she's a life-sucker (time waster for the reader) and this character will end up killing this series of books. And another things that is not realistic - if a superior was aware of the emotional illness of one of his agents, he or she would not be sporting a gun and badge. And everyone knows!I gave this book 3 stars rather than 2 because the first 2 books were solid, good reading. This one, not so much. But you'll probably see it on Lifetime or Hallmark one day. They love whiney!

I was disappointed in the this read. this book was more about Ava and her issues than a suspense book. The plot was inconsistent and was not believable. The ending left you hanging and the entire book read as if the author just threw something together.I was disappointed in this read.the

What a disappointing read! I read the first two books in this series so, naturally, I continued with this one. The author has written another book with the same formula (goes back and forth between the heroes' and the villain's perspectives.) This particular book was a mish-mash of repetitive prose; Ava Callahan's story line was beyond reason. How many times were we told that her twin sister Jayne is a train-wreck but Ava agonized about stepping back and letting Jayne take responsibility for herself? Too many! At first, Ava was introduced as a competent, confident and intelligent FBI agent. All of those qualities fell away in this story. Ava was presented as someone who needed to be saved (several times!) right to the end of the book. Her lover, Mason McLane, was eager to accommodate but, frankly, I felt that Ava's fearfulness and indecisiveness were over the top considering her training, etc. I am certainly not eager to read Callahan & McLane Book 4; it was an effort to finish #3.

I've chosen to listen to Ms. Elliot's stories so I can get things done around the house. The narrators of this story, male and female, were really good. I didn't like it when a male reader attempts to sound female, their voice is always too airy. But in this book, the various voices were done well, making the tension more tense, which I enjoyed a lot.This story was the most emotional one of the ones I've read recently.I am feeling such stress for Ava, wondering how she's going to balance her life, knowing Jayne is always going to be a part of it. She's like an anchor pulling Ava down. Mason is so heroic, even when he's stymied about how to help. Or should I say he's especially heroic because he doesn't try to fix Ava's life or Ava, herself (who needs no fixing).Travis was an excellent antagonist, with an acute mind. I love what he did with the Starbucks scene. It showcased his intelligence.Really good book. So far haven't been disappointed.

I read A LOT of mystery/suspense/thriller books. I am used to plot twists (but, hopefully, not burned out). This one had me going from the first page. What the heck was going on? Well, Mason and Ava and Ray and Zander were in great form throughout with their usual intelligence and determination and honor and integrity. Just have to love them. This time around young men were mass killing people publicly and Oregon was reeling. Adding to the confusion as a secondary plot, Ava's twin had a mega meltdown which, again, threw Ava into a mind spin. However with Kendra Elliot's ability to draw all these pieces together, it was a rousing story of suspense and tension and a twisted mind and, and, and. Phew! Excellent read at any time (maybe not late at night).

I liked it. It was interesting from beginning to end with no TSTL moments. I love the H and h but I did feel like Ava was a hot mess in this book. I'm not saying I blame her. She's been through a lot, but still. . . . In my opinion I feel like the mentally unstable sister got to much page time for this length of a book. I would have rather read about her being with Mason since they really weren't together that much in the book.Just a pet peeve- there is a women in this book that is described as really beautiful, gorgeous, whatever. The hero, Mason talked about how tongue tied he gets when he is in her presence. I really don't care to hear about how a hero is so enthralled by a women, who is not the heroine, that he can hardly talk, when I'm reading a book. It was a small part of the book. It might not bother others, but it's not romantic. And it is a romantic suspense book.Romance - 2 starsMystery/action - 5 stars
